Quakertown

First settled by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and formally
named in 1803 with its first post office, Quakertown sits between the
Delaware and Lehigh valley nestled in the Southwest corner of Bucks
county. Quakertown quickly grew in 1880 when the North Pennsylvania
Railroad came to town. For the period of 1901-1951 it was a major stop
along the Allentown- Philadelphia trolley line that allowed many to
commute from the area.

The town today still provides access between Allentown and
Philadelphia and has seen an increase of people moving here due to its location, history, schools, and entertainment. A large difference from the small town it started as, but still holds onto its small town charm. Quakertown is a family friendly community with very good schools. There are many parks and open spaces which make it a pretty area to live in.
