Lansdale

Lansdale is a dense commuter town in the heart of Montgomery
County. Its earliest known settlers, the Jenkins family settled the
land as early as 1743. The Jenkins family played a prominent role
in forging the town into what it is today. Their homestead is still
there today and is registered with the National Register of Historic
Places. Their homestead consisting of roughly 120 acres became
what Lansdale is today. Brought to prominence when the North
Pennsylvania Railroad was constructed in the 1850s, Lansdale
quickly incorporated by 1872 and was named for a chief surveyor
of the rail company Mr. Philip Lansdale Fox. The Pennsylvania
Northeastern Railroad operates the Lansdale Yard in the borough and provides freight rail service out of Lansdale to several points in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia on SEPTA-owned lines. The railroad interchanges with CSX Transportation in Lansdale. With the rail came many families moving to the town and setting up homes and small businesses molding the once farmstead into a bustling town.
Since 2017, Lansdale has been home to the popular music and entertainment venue, The Underground, which is owned and operated by Round Guys Brewing Company.

Today you find a beautiful town full of cultural history, small business, and remnants of the historic rail line that has been converted to a commuter line servicing the area to and from the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. With a great public school district and amazing private/charter schools, Lansdale is a great town to move to and start or continue growing your family.
